    Please kindly help someone…
(no joy and reply to help previous post a week ago here it reworded )

My wordpress site was logged into google chrome. and I decided to optimize images on wordpress so I used smush it plugin to decrease images file size. ...

Now my slide show so far as the images no longer show them in Google chrome BUT it is only doing this on my PC and I did this at the time as said logged into chrome.

    ****NOTE
Yet Chrome on peoples pc they can see the slide show gallery fine it's ok for them!

AND.,..indeed The slide show is fine on my pc for Mozilla and IE
Also the site work perfectly and all other images are there.

But not for me anymore in chrome using JUST on my laptop ( the slideshow frame all black) how weird.

(So maybe my chrome on the laptop when doing the optimization on the wp site to the images has become corrupted is my thinking ?)

***OK so please Note what I have tried so far to cure it***

I have tried logging OUT of wordpress when viewing on chrome made no difference. I have cleared my chrome history, cache and so forth under advanced setting chrome and also even used C clean.
I have rebooted my pc and rebooted my modem-no joy it is JUST my chrome using my pc all of a sudden

    Please help any ideas/solutions?
(we use genesis lifestyle v 1.0)

A link to your site might get you an answer to your question.

Jenny, take a look at the problem you've asked about here.

If the website works fine on other workstations except for one, wouldn't that mean it's not a WordPress or a Genesis problem, but likely a software issue specific to that laptop that your office's IT staff would be better suited to resolve?

It's not fair to expect Genesis users from all over the world to be able to troubleshoot an issue on a single laptop that cannot be duplicated on other machines when they don't have hands-on access to said laptop, and it's really not fair to drag other volunteers who were trying to provide suggestions over the coals for a tech issues that seem to be beyond the scope of these forums.

If no one else here feels they can help you with this issue, and you reject help from the one person who has offered, what exactly is it you are looking to find here that a search on Google for Chrome and Windows wouldn't yield better results for?

That said, if you've already rebooted your laptop, updated Chrome and Adobe, then you need a Windows tech to take a deeper look at it... no amount of Genesis or WordPress support on any forum is going to resolve that issue.

@jenny, I am sorry I never received any emails from you through my site. I just checked to see if there was a problem with my emails, but there wasn't. In any case I was only suggesting that a link to your site might get you more help from others here, not that I would necessarily be able to solve your issue.

    @summer, thank you.

Lynne thanks for your reply how strange yes three email oh well

Summer firstly I sent three emails to Lynne mentioning we had tons of spam last time my site was quoted here so gave her simply the URL in those emails. I was not to know all three did not go through ...now above I do

Please Summer, do not create in your mind maybe for some words I said on a page a tone of voice that may have come across purely pointing something out as me shouting be funny or rude ....Nope that is your perception from what I said i.e. 'lets not go there....' and I did email you three times....now seems you have taken from those words me being rude or having a go at someone clearly using your interpretation and reality with respect....quote ' not fair to drag other volunteers who were trying to provide suggestions over the coals'

I had tried google forums and chrome indeed posted it last week......loads of views not one single reply...

Here In my post I am merely asking for some pointers I was using wordpress and genesis theme and my laptop happened to be logged into Chrome hence simply reaching out and asking anyone gosh, this has occurred got iany ideas how to maybe solve. As one never knows similar things may have happened to others. and chrome updating etc
There are many things people ask or want advice here on this forum that may not necessarily be duplicated on other peoples pc they may have like me, purely wanted a few tips or ideas to try and resolve an issue...

MY so called solution moving forward

I will simply copy all my browser history, book marks etc and delete chrome and reinstall.
Yes, it very likely is some corrupt issues exclusive to my laptop and chrome ... I get that - and said that in my post however wanted to post here because hey, someone may have just said 'try this or this' and bingo- hence does no harm to at least ask.

    Thank you for your reply
    Jenny
