ok, what is a good plugin that will work with Genesis to showcase awesome photos. Want a responsive gallery that is easy to manage. Don't need all the bells and whistles, just something tried and true and gorgeous of course. Any suggestions?

The native WordPress gallery function http://wpsites.net/web-design/add-responsive-images-side-by-side-anywhere/

Or you can create a portfolio page which is more work but not difficult when using StudioPress child themes.

ok, just read through the link you suggested in detail. This sounds more like a site wide gallery display. I was wondering if there is an Easy Gallery plugin so that users can say, post photos for a particular event, and it will showcase them nicely. Then created a new post or post type and then upload new photos for a new event. Does that make sense?

I use popular NextGEN gallery plugin. Works just fine out of the box to me.

Let me give it a try. Funny how only the pro version has the responsive description in it.

Just loaded the latest version. I must say, it is not intuitive at all. There is no longer a Create Gallery button so it took a while to even create a Gallery. Then uploading files does not work, at least not on my server environment. Ouch. No Youtube video has their latest version so it's been deleted 🙂 Double ouch.

I think uploading issue might have something to do with your ftp and/or folder permissions.

Well, that´s what i use anyways.

But, if you find better one, please let us know!

Btw, coming new wordpress version do have somekind of grid view new thingy.

I will just have to give it another try. It is a good one but the newer slick design is just no intuitive in my opinion. There is actually no Add Gallery Button anymore. Do you see that as well or is it just on my end? I had to hit RETURN on the keyboard to create a new gallery.

btw, do you have a public album somewhere? I would like to test the responsiveness of this plugin.

And still did not find out what Gallery vs Album means in the latest version. 🙂

You can create gallery to new page or any page just by clicking button "NextGEN Gallery - Attach to post" in visual mode.

So I was wondering why after 800,000+ downloads, I am seeing so many glitches. Going through NextGen support forums, many users have downgarded to 1.9 as 2.0 was pretty buggy. Quite a few people also reporting that they see 100% upload but the image is actually not uploaded. Can't do anything but wait for the next release.
