    Hi All.

What is the best practice for customizing child themes? Do we need to be concerned with updatings rolling out for them?

I couldn't find an solid answer in your faq's so I figured I'd start a quick discussion. 🙂

The genesis child themes do not really update, the Genesis framework does and this will not affect your child theme, so you can customize as much as you like. However, what is probably confusing is that some themes have kept the same name with Pro added to them, which has made people think they were updates to the original. They are not updates, but entirely new versions of an older theme.

    Thanks @emasi.

It didnt make sense not to customize right in the child theme.
