I am currently working on a new site for a client and I need to have a private forum and calendar page on the site. I am using Simple:Press for the forum platform and haven't decided on a calendar plugin yet. This is a website for a retirement community and they want to have a section on the site with the private forum and calendar for members of the community to log in to.
I know that Simple:Press has a way to make the forum private, but I am trying to find a simple plugin for them to make both the forum and calendar page private so the members of the community can log in once and have access to both. Is there a good and simple members plugin that will do the job for me? They also want to have the calendar email members with calendar info updates.
Any suggestions? Thanks for the help

Hey Tyy,
If you're still looking, there's a myriad of different options for member logins, but if you want to stick with something written by someone with a solid WP reputation for good coding practices, have a look at Justin Tadlock's Members plugin.It's a while since I've needed it myself, but I recall it being pretty easy to use and setup.
