    Hi,

    I am new to using a Child Theme, and would love some detailed instructions on how to set up automatic backups of the customized Child Theme (Altitude Pro). When I search the forums, I see lots of references on the need to do regular backups and keep them off-site, but no real detailed 'how to backup and restore' instructions (that I could find).

    Do you recommend the use of free backup plugins? If so, which are best for use with Genesis?

    You could try Updraftplus backup and restore plugin.
