Background image or color in Prose sidebar

Is there a way to apply a background image in the secondary sidebar of the Prose theme. If not an image, how about a background color. I know HTML and CSS but not PHP. I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you.

Hello,

You can do this using css by targeting #sidebar-alt in your child theme style.css file:

#sidebar-alt {
background: /* your image or color info here */;
}

There's no padding so you will probably have to play with that as well
