    hi,
    can you please help me set up an autoresponder on my home page

    i want to invite visitors to give me their 'first name' and 'email address', and i will give them a downloadable ebook.

    is there a recommended widget, instead of a paid service?

    There is a plugin called Email-to-Download. It works in conjunction with two others plugins. You can follow the instructions here. It takes a little time to set up. If you decide to give it a go, just test it out sending things to yourself until you get it working the way you want. But I had some Beta testers test my former client and the PDF's were downloadable just fine.

    ok, i got the contact form, download manager and the two lines are in the 'call to action' widget

    now, where do i put all that code for

    well, i downloaded the widgets, checked them...
    but now my website is very, very slow.

    i checked with my web hosting company - their other users don't have problems

    i have no problems with other websites, and my website is very slow on other computers.

    i've updated all plugins and removed unnecessary ones.

    any more suggestions to speed up this website?
