I am wondering if there is any way to set an automatic featured image for all posts that do not have an image added. The site is using Outreach Pro, and I need to have an image for the slider for all posts though I might not have an image to add to every single post. I'd appreciate any help you can give!

The simple answer is yes. You can read how Genesis assigns images to content in our article here, http://wpperform.com/genesis-framework-archive-images/.

The important takeaway from that is that it's possible to specify a "fallback" image when you haven't specified one of the other types of images, and it would be best to do that via a custom plugin. You just have to take care to actually specify a unique image where you want one and to make sure your starting fallback image is sized generously enough, so that if you change themes and regenerate image sizes, everything still looks good.
