    Hi folks,

I recently finished a site for a book about Gutenberg and the development of the first printing press. I used Brian Gardner's lovely Minimum Pro theme and modified the homepage with multiple widget areas. Check it out and let me know what you think.

    Loving that Genesis Framework!

    Hey

I like the style you have gone for. Nice feature images and such. You really capture the mood of old books.

    1. I like the idea behind the fonts. But they are very hard to read on my screen. (I'm a 24" DELL IPS screen). Maybe something similar on the paragraph fonts but easier to read would be good.

    2. I think you can go for a skin color on the bottom and on your links. The sudden blue surprised me on the bottom. Maybe go for a red ink color on the links?

    Hope this is useful feedback

    Hey Dag-Erling,

Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to look at the font on a large monitor like yours. Can't say that I have. The font is a client request though, as is the blue on the bottom. The blue links are Brian's default.

    Cheers.

Hi Erim, i like your site!

suggestion to move "buy the book" up on your widgets.

Do you mind sharing how you made the banner images below the header area change depending on the page viewed?

I think the font is perfect to reflect the subject matter. Very nice use of typography and overall one of the best Genesis websites I have seen. I may be biased because of my interest in printing and typography.
I do agree with previous comment about the blue - maybe the client can be persuaded to change her mind.
    I have ordered the book!

    Thanks for the feedback.

catphishum, I used a custom field with the Advanced Custom Field plugin for the header image, so the client can just upload a new image for any post or page. Otherwise, it defaults to the image on the homepage.

I hope you enjoy the book, eamonmoriarty. Alix is certainly passionate about printing, and it sounds like a very interesting story.

I loved the background graphic as well as the graphic changing depending on the page/post.

I like the UK version of the book's cover much better than the US version, do you know why they are different.

In the blog there are G+ and Pinterest icons but not on the home page and elsewhere.

Things like the book launch and author tour are completely missing from the home page--and the items themselves would be great candidates for using your plugin to change the background image.

BTW what dimensions do you find best for those images>
