Hi, just seeking for better end-customer usability ideas.

I build WordPress websites for small and medium businesses for more than 6 years. For last couple of years I'm working almost exclusively with Genesis framework, building websites more-or-less from scratch.

I love Genesis - it allows me to create any kind of custom page layouts and other website structures exactly as I want without bloating WordPress with too much custom plugins or modifications.

My business is growing I get to work with larger companies which often require lots of complex page layouts. To make my work slightly easier I started using page builders for more complex stuff, but I see that:

    a) page builders add lots of unnecessary code and additional libraries in the front-end which slow websites down,
    b) most of the time I use no more than 30% of page builder's functionality in the back-end, and all the unnecessary functions make it harder for my customers to make changes in the pages by themselves.

Any suggestions for a Genesis-like (I mean minimal, but highly customizible) page builder ( or any other software) that would help build more complex layouts? No need for styling settings like margin, padding, background etc. (columns, classes and IDs are enough).

Currently I'm using modified Genesis starter theme + custom page templates + SiteOrigin PageBuilder for most of my work.

P.S. Gutenberg editor and Atomic blocks work fine for super basic stuff like custom blog post layouts but they won't work as page builders, at least at the current state.
