An alt image for a div for responsive?

My webpage (http://www.maposity.com) has a map image (a 24-bit .png with transparency) positioned over a gradient background. Its size is 1024 x 200.

When the webpage appears on a smaller screen, the .png image doesn't expand of course. So it fills the top of the div, not the whole area of the div. The div is a class I made called .banner-top and its width and height are set at 100% each. Same setting for the .png image.

My solution would be to include an alternative image sized 1024 x 360 that would take the place of the 1024 x 200 image when the page shows on small-screen devices.

Is this the best solution? If so, how to write CSS to implement that alternative image?

Yes, I did resolve it. Thanks for checking. I can't tell you how because it was in the distant past (given my memory of such things).
