ParticipantI just got back from an epic motorcycle trip (I blogged about it daily) and thought I would make up a few t-shirts and offer them for sale to my buddies.
I added the WooCommerce Plugin and it's trying to pull in the sidebar.
That's a problem because Ambiance Pro doesn't run a sidebar.
I may still be rummy from my trip but where is this issue coming from? More importantly - how can I fix it?
Here's the page: http://aufroad.com/shop/ The sidebar is trying to pull below the content.Woo has a help page but that's not helping me either. http://docs.woothemes.com/document/third-party-custom-theme-compatibility/

MemberLooks like the sidebar is no longer loading - were you able to get this resolved?

ParticipantHi Andrea - there is no sidebar in Ambience - no registered widget area.
If there was I could put a clear image in there and not have that message show up - but I can't even do that.
The woocommerce assumes there's a page.php template to mod and there is not as well.
still baffled... 🙂August 6, 2015 at 12:18 pm #161611nutsandbolts
MemberKeep in mind, the message doesn't show to logged out users - you only see it when you are logged in as the admin. I do know of a workaround for the issue, though; I'm trying to hunt it down now and will post back here when I find it.

MemberTry adding this code to the bottom of your functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/nutsandbolts/f141c7563a9ec9f585e7
DISCLAIMER: You should never edit PHP files within the WordPress editor - always use FTP or your host's file manager. Be very careful when copying and pasting as a typo or missing character could take down your entire site. (You probably know this, but I like to add a disclaimer so people aren't mad at me if their sites get broken!)

ParticipantLOL! Always by FTP!
Added it, but it doesn't change it.
It's really not a big thing. hmmm - oh well. let's mark this one as resolved.August 6, 2015 at 1:13 pm #161621nutsandbolts
MemberHmm... That has worked on other sites in the past, but I believe they were using the Genesis WooCommerce Connect plugin, so that may be the difference.
