I'd like to replace one of the background images on the homepage with a full-width slideshow. I'm using Rev Slider.

Can anyone help? There was a solution posted here, but I could not get the code to work.

Altitude Pro add slider instead of Background image

    TIA!

If you already found it, I used this solution for the front-page-1 widget, https://sridharkatakam.com/replace-home-section-1s-background-image-backstretch-slideshow-parallax-pro/.

    THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!

Why on earth are so many answers in this forum linked to what is now premium content.

Please, will someone go through the forum and rework the previous answers so they are back in here for free?

This reflects really badly on Studiopress (although we know it isn't their fault) and my perception of sridharkatakam is not good. I would NEVER provide free content to people and then take it away to charge for it. A very low trick in my opinion.

For you it may be better to use WP-Backstretch plugin.

On Sridhar, he provided very valuable and free help to anyone and everyone that asked on StudioPress, Twitter, G+, etc, etc. There's absolutely nothing wrong with him monetizing his former and new content; the breadth of tutorials he created and help he freely gave to the community actually attest as so many people relied upon it and some nearly fully - his membership fees are very light for the amount of content and support he provides.

There may be a valid point in pay walling old content as people became reliant upon it, but at the end of the day that is Sridhar's work and sweat and well within his right to monetize and actually we think good for him - it will allow him to focus on even better content and work. He gave to the community for ages and it's fine that he's benefiting back and a small membership fee for continued help is little to ask.

What @coralseait said yes...and another thing to consider is that when you're having a big problem trying to figure out something, and you consider the time (time is money) trying to find answers that actually help...the small amount paid to a guy like Sridhar is a drop in the bucket.

Follow and get in touch with Brad Potter on twitter (@bradleypotter) and ask him about his Backstretch slideshow plugin. He's been doing some really cool things and one of them has been using Backstretch for a background slider via the Customizer. He also demoed it using Altitude, among others. I don't know how complete it is yet but I'm sure he'll explain.

Is it possible to add links to each slide. Each of the 4 slides go to a page. I'm using Altitude Pro. (would work like the Genesis Slider)
    many thanks,

For anybody else wanting this feature, I can recommend @braddalton's solution!
