I setting up a site using the Altitude Pro theme and it's been loading very slow right from the start. I've added WP Smush plugin to condense the photos and also installed W3 Cache plugin. But no luck. The site still loads very slowly.

    The site is http://www.obangkok.com

Any suggestions to help the site load faster would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Actually to be more specific, it's front page 1 widget that loads much more slower than the rest.

The background image is 4160x3120px and 4.4MB huge ( ! ). This file should be much, much smaller.

"The Altitude Pro theme demo uses a 1600?—1050 pixel image for the each of the Front Page Background Images.".

    Try this file instead @ 113kb. (1600x1200px)

There are heaps of images that can be optimised/compressed, see Google's Page Speed tool https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.obangkok.com%2F&tab=desktop
