    Hello,

    I'm hoping someone has an answer or insight into my problem.

    I've created a button with text: "BOOK NOW" in the third front widget section. The button automatically came up grey. I want to change the colour of the button away from grey.

    I went into the CSS here:

    .image-section .button.clear {
    border-color: #ddd;
    color: #ddd;
    }

    I changed the colour at this piece of code and nothing changed; still grey.

    Thanks in advance for any help 🙂

    You need to use the correct property for the button background.

        background-color: red;

    Thanks for that but the button is still grey ...

    Any other possibilities?

    Post your code please.

    Add !important

    .front-page-3 .button {
    	background-color: red!important;
    }

    Tested this and it works.

    Thanks so much, that worked! Adding "!important" made the difference.

    Is there a danger of using "!important" too much within the code?

    Not in a child theme.
