    Hi I'm trying to change the colour of the hr tag from grey to red but it's not working.

    hr {
    margin: 0 auto 30px;
    width: 25%;
    background-color: #ab1600;
    }

    I also tried it as a border, but the red border sat on top of the regular grey hr.

    Where are you editing the CSS for hr? Are you in the main stylesheet or are you using a plugin? I can find the code when I view source, and it looks like you might be missing the ; after the color?

    Try changing "background-color" to "border-color".

    "border-color" worked. Thanks!
