MemberHi everyone.
I need a little help. I use Altitude Pro theme and am setting up my frontpage. I finally go page 1 more or less the way I want it, and not I need to set up page 2 with recent posts. I added the recent post widget but it doesn't have the image of the post. How do I customize how this widget displays?
Thanks for the help. I'm sure there's a tutorial somewhere, but I just can't seem to find it.
All the best,
Ed

MemberTry using the Genesis Featured Post widget instead - it comes with Genesis automatically. It will allow you to choose how you want your posts to display, from the featured image size to whether or not to show an excerpt. Hope that helps!

MemberHi Andrea,
Thanks for the help. I switched to the Genesis featured Post widget. Lots of options. Where can I learn about how to use and customize the widget? and where can I find info on the differences between featured widget and recent widget etc. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
All the best,
Ed

MemberSpecifically, how can I set up a grid of three posts, side by side, Title, then image, then summary or first so many characters?

MemberAltitude Pro allows the use of flexible widgets, meaning that they should stack into a grid automatically. If you place 3 Genesis Featured Posts widgets into one of the home widget areas, each set to show a single post (you'll want to offset the second widget by 1 and the third widget by 2 so that they don't show the same post), they should display in a grid.
I believe the Genesis beginner's guide at http://my.studiopress.com/genesis-beginners-guide/ goes over the Featured Posts widget in more detail. The Recent Posts widget is part of WordPress core and doesn't really offer any options other than displaying a list of a certain number of posts.

MemberThank you Andrea. I appreciate the help.
I got the three widgets to line up next to each other, but now I need to see how to make them look right, the image sizes etc.
I'm studying the beginners guide you mentioned but the info is limited. Can you recommend any other resource that might help me set up the image sizes I need, featured image sizes, and the whether to use a summary or content on the featured post section.
I'm having trouble with the look and feel of the featured posts.
I don't know how to make the headline text smaller font, etc.
Thanks for the help. I do appreciate it.
All the best in health and fulfillment,
Ed

MemberOK. I've got it now. Other questions I'll ask in a new thread as they come up. Thank you.
