    What's the easiest way to change the header from text to a logo/graphic in Agency Child Theme?

    I see that susanlangenes answered this question on this forum earlier today...not sure it's for the Agency theme...here's the link to the question and her reply:

    This solution does not seem to apply to the Agency theme. Is there another way?

    I'm not any kind of expert at all on this stuff...barely feeling my way around, but I'm running the Agency theme,  I see that there's a place to replace the header text with a graphical file in the Dashboard settings. I haven't tried it yet...but maybe that will work for you.

    Dashboard > Appearance > Header

    Does that help?

    I actually did this today, and my advice is DO NOT use the Header option mentioned above!..

    The way I did it, was to change the "Header Title" width to 0 px, and the "Header Right Widget" to 960 px. I then added the EXCELLENT "Black Studio TinyMCE" plugin [ http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/ ]  to the Top Right Widget and just added my Full width header banner.

    If you do NOT want a Full Width header, then you can just add a background url to the "Header Title" section of your .css, and make sure you turn off the "Show site name and description" in the  Dashboard > Appearance > Header.

    Good Luck

    This message is for de Paulus.  First off, thank you for the reference to Black Studio TinyMCE.

    So my question is related to helping me clarify your post above.  The site I am working on is http://www.bbqpitstop.com

    When you say change the “Header Title” width to 0 px   - do you mean this bit of code located in the child theme (Agency) CSS?

    #title-area {
    float: left;
    min-height: 100px;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding: 15px 0 0;
    width: 350px;

    And when you say “Header Right Widget” to 960 px - assuming you are referring to the CSS do you mean this code:

    #header .widget-area {
    float: right;
    padding: 40px 0 0;
    width: 600px;

    If my assumptions are correct then I am wondering what I am missing as I have a gap between the "Widget Header"  and the top of the window. This gap is the same size as the original header, furthermore if you hover over the top left portion of this gap - even though it appears to be just part of the background - you get a hidden hyperlink that would take you back to the index.php (home) page.

    I am not sure what I am missing.  It seems as if I need to remove the ability to have the header, but I want to make sure that it isn't a simply misunderstanding before I proceed down this path.

    On the Appearance - Header - page all of the variables are as if there were no header.

    On the Genesis - Theme Settings - page I tried it with "Enable Extras on Right Side" checked and unchecked.

    I also changed the height in the functions.php to zero for the custom header.  Which shouldn't matter if there is no custom header set.

    /** Add support for custom header */
    add_theme_support( 'genesis-custom-header', array( 'width' => 960, 'height' => 115 ) );

    OK - So it appears that I figured it out finally.  Here are the notes I used for future reference:

    /* Header
    ------------------------------------------------------------ */

    Original Code

    #title-area {
    float: left;
    min-height: 100px;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding: 15px 0 0;
    width: 350px;
    }

    Updated Code

    #title-area {
    float: left;
    min-height: 100px;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding: 15px 0 0;
    width: 0px;
    }

    ____________________________________________

    Original Code

    #header .widget-area {
    float: right;
    padding: 40px 0 0;
    width: 600px;
    }

    Updated Code

    #header .widget-area {
    float: right;
    padding: 20px 0 10px;
    width: 960px;
    }

    ____________________________________________

    /* Image Header - Partial Width
    ------------------------------------------------------------ */

    Original Code

    .header-image #title-area,
    .header-image #title,
    .header-image #title a {
    display: block;
    float: left;
    height: 115px;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding: 0;
    text-indent: -9999px;
    width: 350px;
    }

    Updated Code

    .header-image #title-area,
    .header-image #title,
    .header-image #title a {
    display: block;
    float: left;
    height: 115px;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding: 0px;
    text-indent: -9999px;
    width: 0px;
    }
