    I am using Lifestyle Pro and when I try to post anything in blockquote it shows this: â€?“
    at the beginning of the quote--kind of large too. How can I fix it? :-/

    I have no url, because I do not want to have that showing on a live post.

    Try these plugins:

    I recently used http://wordpress.org/plugins/search-and-replace/ for a similar situation. Worked well.

    Well, the funny thing is those characters are actually IN the css... :-/

    Here is snippet;

    blockquote,
    blockquote::before {
    color: #999;
    }

    blockquote {
    margin: 40px 40px 24px;
    margin: 4rem 4rem 2.4rem;
    }

    blockquote::before {
    content: "â€?“";
    display: block;
    font-size: 30px;
    font-size: 3rem;
    height: 0;
    left: -20px;
    position: relative;
    top: -10px;
    }

    Is there a way to fix this issue without having to install a plug in?

    If you're using a child theme and have access to the CSS, just change the content: “â€?“”; to content: "\201C"; and you'll have a open quotation mark.

    Actually, a plug in won't fix it. Stefsull got it right. See these links for other ways to use the CSS Content property:
