MemberHi
I'm trying to add a custom header to the default landing page page in eleven40 pro.
Its just an individual page i need adding a header to , I've tired simply adding it to the post but padding is added i don;t want and to delete the padding would delete it for the rest of the page which i don;t want.
All I want to do is add a full width image to the top of the page can't believe its so hard!!!
I've tired this tutorial but i cant get it to work for me:

ParticipantYou should be able to remove the padding around the image only. What is not working for you in Brad's tutorial?

MemberPerhaps know exactly which part of the code I need to add, it's not clear to a non tetchy person and knowing exactly where to pledge the image

Participant@newedgemarketing : Brad's tutorial works, so let's walk through it.
This assumes using an unadulterated landing page template fresh from your theme download.
Use the second option to modify your existing landing page template.
Open your Eleven40 "page_landing.php".
On Brad's page, go to "Use Existing Landing Page Template".
For the code area labeled 'functions.php' select 'view raw'.
Copy the raw code from the page that opened.
In your Eleven40 "page_landing.php", paste the code just before the line that says "//* Run the Genesis loop".
Save page_landing.php.In your theme images folder (should be "eleven40-pro/images"):
Upload the header image for your landing page. This image must be named landing.jpg.In the WordPress editor open the page containing your landing page content.
In the meta box called "Page Attributes", under "Template" select "Landing".
Save the page.
View the page.Success.
Choose your next site design from over 350 Genesis themes.

MemberHi Tom thanks so much for that, I've just made the changes and it worked perfectly.
Only trouble is the image is aligned to the left hand side of the page and the default landing page content area is 800px wide, centred in the middle of the screen, as you can see form the image below the new header doesn't align with the content. Any ideas how i can fix this?

MemberHi Tom please ignore the last commments, this isn;t what i want at all just looked at on on mobile and because the logo is part of the whole header image its shrinking when displayed on mobiles which isn;t what i want.
Is there any way of using the header that i use on my main site on the lading pages but without the menu items showing?

ParticipantSome ideas.
Why is your landing page header image (logo) 800px wide? This must be shrunk to fit on mobile/smaller screens.
http://newedgemarketing.com.au/wp-content/themes/eleven40-pro/images/landing.jpg (800x85)
The default eleven40 logo is 320x65px. If yours were ~350px x 85px (which allows for the size of your logo) you would have more options to place it and arrange with other elements. This may entail some other CSS changes but should add flexibility all around.
... looking around a little more: your home page header (logo) image is only 320x85:

Simplify your site and use one image in a reasonable size and you won't have a problem with your landing page, logo, and smaller screens, using something like this (obviously, adjustments required):
Choose your next site design from over 350 Genesis themes.
