    Hello,

    I am wondering if there is anyone who can help me with maintaining and active state on my navigation. It may be something very simple I am overlooking but so far I have had no luck.

    When I go to one of the main topic tags eg. Research and Learning http://www.tpiver5.definemedia.co.uk/training-and-services/ the active state is orange.

    When I go to the next level eg. Supporting Partnershipshttp://www.tpiver5.definemedia.co.uk/training-and-services/supporting-partnerships/ I loose this orange stage.

    I would love to be able to keep this the same throughout, as it makes sense for usability.

    Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Hi,
    Give this a try! Please excuse the Yank spelling. 😉 Just add this pinch of code to your style.css. You'll notice the ancestor part, which reaches back to the "top".

    .nav-header .current-page-ancestor a {
    	background-color: #E0A24B;
    }

    Cheers, Dave

    Hello Dave,

    That was brilliant ! Worked perfectly and something I was completely unaware of, so thank you so much for your help.

    That's excellent, David. I'll be adding this one to my cheatsheet.
