Johann KratzikMemberThis solution worked for me with the Genesis Sample Child Theme.
Create a archive.php file and add this:
<?php remove_action( 'genesis_entry_content', 'genesis_do_post_image', 8 ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'genesis_entry_header_markup_open', 5 ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'genesis_entry_header_markup_close', 15 ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'genesis_do_post_title' ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'genesis_post_info', 12 ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_footer', 'genesis_entry_footer_markup_open', 5 ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_footer', 'genesis_entry_footer_markup_close', 15 ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_footer', 'genesis_post_meta' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_entry_content', 'genesis_do_post_image' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_entry_content', 'genesis_entry_header_markup_open' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_entry_content', 'genesis_do_post_title' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_entry_content', 'genesis_post_info' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_entry_content', 'genesis_post_meta' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_entry_content', 'genesis_entry_header_markup_close' ); genesis(); ?>
Create a single.php file and add this:
<?php remove_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'genesis_entry_header_markup_open', 5 ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'genesis_entry_header_markup_close', 15 ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'genesis_do_post_title' ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'genesis_post_info', 12 ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_footer', 'genesis_entry_footer_markup_open', 5 ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_footer', 'genesis_entry_footer_markup_close', 15 ); remove_action( 'genesis_entry_footer', 'genesis_post_meta' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_entry_content', 'jk_do_single_post_image' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_entry_content', 'genesis_entry_header_markup_open' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_entry_content', 'genesis_do_post_title' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_entry_content', 'genesis_post_info' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_entry_content', 'genesis_post_meta' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_entry_content', 'genesis_entry_header_markup_close' ); function jk_do_single_post_image() { $img = genesis_get_image( array( 'format' => 'html', 'size' => genesis_get_option( 'image_size' ), 'context' => 'archive', 'attr' => genesis_parse_attr( 'entry-image' ), ) ); if ( ! empty( $img ) ) printf( '<a href="%s" title="%s">%s</a>', get_permalink(), the_title_attribute( 'echo=0' ), $img ); } genesis(); ?>

Johann KratzikMemberI can surely help you but it's not so easy to describe the solution in a post. Can you send me your theme to [email protected]? Then I make the adjustments and send you the files back.

May 9, 2015 at 7:59 am in reply to: Splitting the Parallax Pro footer widgets area into multiple columns #151227Johann KratzikMemberOpen functions.php and search for the line
add_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 1 );
Replace this withadd_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 3 );
This will give you 3 widgetized areas in the footer.In style.css search for the "Footer Widgets" part and add there:
.footer-widgets-1, .footer-widgets-2, .footer-widgets-3 { width: 33%; }
so they will float side by side.
But we also must take care of the responsive layout because 3 floating columns will not look good on small screen resolutions. I suggest 2 floating columns for tablet resolutions and the third widget area in full width below. And 3 full width widget areas for phone resolutions.
In style.css search for
@media only screen and (max-width: 960px)
and add to this rule:.footer-widgets-1, .footer-widgets-2 { width: 50%; }
and
.footer-widgets-3 { clear: both; width: 100%; padding-top: 20px; /* so that there's some spacing between the top columns and the third one, adjust to your needs */ }
In style.css search for
@media only screen and (max-width: 768px)
and add to this rule:.footer-widgets-1, .footer-widgets-2 { width: 100%; } .footer-widgets-2 { padding-top: 20px; }

May 8, 2015 at 12:50 pm in reply to: Splitting the Parallax Pro footer widgets area into multiple columns #150985Johann KratzikMemberDid you already make some modifications to the Parallax theme? You didn't post a link to a website so I can't see.
If you didn't modify the files then I can install the original theme locally, go through the changes and then post them into the thread so you can paste them into your files. This will be some code because the columns must also work responsive.
In case you modified the files I can post my email address here so you can send me the files. Or you give me FTP access to your server if you want.
A donation will be highly appreciated, thank you in advance! 🙂

Johann KratzikMemberIn your style.css search for .title-area and change there:
width: 550px;
And for .site-header .widget-area change:
width: 450px;
(as an example, you can adjust the width unless the widget area stays at the right side)

Johann KratzikMemberI suggest a custom post type, custom taxonomy and a plugin for the sharing options. You can display the quotes on a post type and taxonomy template and style them with CSS the way it fits best for you.
However, this subject is too complex for a detailed reply in a forum post. If you need more in-depth assistance, feel free to contact me through [email protected]. As you can see in my signature I am currently offering services for free.

Johann KratzikMemberI am glad that I could help, you can now mark the thread as "resolved" so it can be closed.
I am using Chrome inspect myself for coding. Since I am a developer, I don't use Genesis extender but a usual text editor for PHP and CSS coding.
If you consider hiring someone for further customization I am currently offering services for free - and when you open the link in my signature you will see why.
Feel free to contact me at [email protected], thanks!

Johann KratzikMemberI am sure that it can be done but it requires customization, posting a solution into a forum post is hardly possible.
Please let me know if you are interested to get in contact.

Johann KratzikMemberIn the source code I saw that the .home_below_content class has been applied to the wrapping <div> and this element can't have list bullets.
It should work when you change the CSS like this:
.home_below_content li { list-style-type: square; padding: 0px 10px 0px 10px; }
