ScottFromPAMemberThanks Christoph this worked.
April 22, 2015 at 5:49 am in reply to: How Do You Add HTML To The Top Of Your Blog Roll Page #148785ScottFromPAMemberSOLUTION:
1) Install Genesis Custom Hooks
2) If your blog page is titled "News" Add the following code to the genesis_before_loop Hook<?php if ( is_page('News') ) { ?><div class="police-news"><h1>My Custom HTML</h1></div> <?php } else { ?><?php } ?>
3) Make sure you check the box that reads "Execute PHP on this hook?"
BOOM YOUR DONE!
I love the Genesis framework!
ScottFromPAMemberPost your solution man...
ScottFromPAMemberYes, I would also like to know this. The background image in the demo has been locked. I can not use that as a reference.
ScottFromPAMemberI found an even better script. I noticed that the script I referenced above only returns five search results. I then found a better alternative.
Read this thread
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/have-more-search-results-show-up
What you do is create a "search.php" add the script to it (see thread link) and save it in your theme directory. WordPress will use it verses the default file.
WordPress RULES!
ScottFromPAMemberbump... would love to know how to do this....
Ah....Ha!
ScottFromPAMemberWell, I resolved the issue by moving the HTML to Home Section 2. The layout is better for that position.
Problem solved.
January 24, 2015 at 11:23 am in reply to: Parrallax Pages Need 100% Width Genesis_After_Content Hook (I think) #138518ScottFromPAMemberI’ll say one more thing for those who are following this thread. During my research for a solution to my problem, I stumbled on a plugin called Dynamik. It’s a Genesis theme builder. It looks pretty cool and powerful.

Yes, your css solution is what I came up with while I was taking a shower this AM. I seem to do my best thinking in the shower.
Thanks for the CSS. Thankfully the site uses no column right or left so responsive layout won't be that complicated.
THANK YOU!
January 24, 2015 at 11:12 am in reply to: Parrallax Pages Need 100% Width Genesis_After_Content Hook (I think) #138516ScottFromPAMemberDavid,
The link I provided shows what the theme is doing now. The <div> with the grey background is not doing what I want.
I'd like a full 100% width <div> below the page content but I can't get it to gell because the needed hook is housed in a <div> with a defined width.
Initially I thought the best solution would be to create a new hook but that's too complicated.
ScottFromPAMemberBump..
Sam Bell is not the only one looking for this solution.
S
ScottFromPAMemberDid not work for me either.
Everything is is float left in my style.css file. If you hit it with firebug there is no centering declared any where.
This is incredibly frustrating.
ScottFromPAMemberWell...
So far the simplest plugin I found is the Front-End Users Plugin. Unfortunately its rife with issues. I'll give s2Member a shot.
ScottFromPAMemberYep.. I tried it and found it to be too powerful for my needs.
Don't confuse this statement with me being not grateful for the post Lauren.
Your post helped me find what I think might actually do what I need.
I will report back here on my findings.
Thanks Kelly.
ScottFromPAMemberNO KIDDING!
Thanks Kelly!
I love that plugin!
ScottFromPAMemberYES!
Thanks for the help fellas.
ScottFromPAMemberThanks Brad,
I tried these here's what happened.
is_single() - - > Custom title shows up on the individual news post pages. Title remains empty on main blog page.
is_single('post-slug or I.D') - - > Custom title shows up on only post with designated slug or id
is_singular('post') - - > same as is_single() shows up on individual post pages not the main blog page.I dunno man...
I'm starting to think its time to give you the keys to this gig and let you drive. You could probably fix it in 10 minutes.
ScottFromPAMemberBrad,
Will this do it?
It removes titles from specified pages.
add_action( 'get_header', 'remove_titles_from_pages' );
function remove_titles_from_pages() {
if ( is_page(array(contact, about) ) ) {
remove_action( 'genesis_entry_header', 'genesis_do_post_title' );
}
}ScottFromPAMemberFound it... Here's the solution
nav { position: relative; z-index: 99999;}
