Thanks, Victor. I'll look into Updraft Plus and the pro version.
I created a subdomain and installed wp into a new folder using the auto install feature through my host, but it overwrote the root index file. Support at least saved me and figured that out. I knew everything was still there because I could log into the regular home page. So I immediately backed everything up manually through ftp - that scared me! I think I need to get going with updraft! Now I can start genesis and parallax. Thanks!RainbowsplashMemberYes, I checked on my iphone and your site looks great. It seems like the best images will be where the sides aren't so important. 🙂 Thanks for letting me know.
RainbowsplashMemberI'm ready to dive in and get Parallax Pro for a band site, but the demo doesn't even show on iphone properly. Have you been able to get this working properly? Here's the live demo link, which only shows a small portion of the home page image: https://my.studiopress.com/themes/parallax/#demo-full

Yes, I believe I have to create a name.nameofsite.com area to work in. Then I'll have to read up on how to move everything. Excited. Scared.RainbowsplashMemberI'm getting ready to jump in and purchase Genesis. I plan to use Parallax Pro for a band website. The site is already up and running on WP. After I install Genesis and the child theme Parallax Pro, what steps do I need to take in order to work on Parallax Pro behind the scenes without taking down the current site?
I'm thinking of installing Genesis on another site where the theme people are telling me to update the theme. Would I export the settings in wp, install the theme again as a child and then import the settings to the theme which is now a child? What in the world do I do there?
