Not sure if this helps.

1. Do you have any backup? Some hosting companies does that and you can ask them to help you restore the previous backup.
2. Assuming you don't have back up. Now, where do you see the error? If you can still login to admin, go install Twenty Eleven or Twelve first.
3. If that works, go delete your Genesis Files and even child theme (assuming you haven't done MUCH changes)
4. Reinstall back Genesis and Child theme.

it should work.

Hey!

Just to add. Solved it! Your method works but I noticed for smaller pictures, it become kinda weird on home page.

So I added this to my home page php

'feature_image_size' => 'large',
'feature_image_class' => 'aligncenter',

Guess the aligncenter works. Haha!
