    Any thoughts / suggestions?  I'm still stuck on this one.

    Hi Brad... sure thing.  Thanks for taking a look.

    Here's an example of the effect I'm trying to replicate:  http://netstorepro.com/partners/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Example.jpg

    * Notice the torn paper image with blue pushpin above the drop-down sub-menu.

    Here's a screen shot of my site with an arrow to where I'd like to see my image inserted: http://netstorepro.com/partners/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Example_How.jpg

    Played with it some more and believe to have solved my own problem.  For me... when I deleted the grid loop from Home.php:

    ----------------------------

    remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' );
    add_action( 'genesis_loop', 'goinggreen_grid_loop_helper' );
    /** Add support for Genesis Grid Loop */
    function goinggreen_grid_loop_helper() {

    if ( function_exists( 'genesis_grid_loop' ) ) {
    genesis_grid_loop( array(
    'features'                 => 2,
    'feature_image_size'     => 'featured',
    'feature_image_class'     => 'post-image',
    'feature_content_limit' => 0,
    'grid_image_size'        => 0,
    'grid_image_class'        => 'alignnone',
    'grid_content_limit'     => 250,
    'more'                    => __( '[Continue reading]', 'goinggreen' ),
    'posts_per_page'         => 6
    ) );
    } else {
    genesis_standard_loop();
    }

    }

    --------------------------

    I needed to leave:    remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' );

    Once I added that back into the Home.php file, everything worked like I had hoped.  The home page is now completely controlled by the "Home Featured Widget"

    Ok...  I did a little drinking (ummm... I mean "thinking") on the subject and came up with this work-around.  For anyone who's interested, here's what I did:

    I copied the URL of the "page" I want my post(s) to link to and inserted it in the 'Custom Redirect URI' section of the post editor.  Now the post appears on the home page, with whatever intro text is included in the post itself.  But when someone clicks on the headline/title link it takes them to the page I set.

    Score!
