I'm entering it directly into the style.css in the theme. Not using a plugin.
January 25, 2013 at 6:11 pm in reply to: Looking for a Scribble theme image border css expert, please #14904djw2MemberNope. Still doesn't work for me. I know this is baffling.
There seemed to be an extra bracket and I systematically removed each to see what might make a difference and neither did.
I know this is baffling. I really appreciate your help though!

January 25, 2013 at 5:30 pm in reply to: Looking for a Scribble theme image border css expert, please #14872djw2MemberI cleared my cache too and retried the site in Chrome, IE, Firefox and Safari, as well as my phone and they all come up ok. I don't know why you would get the error.
I did try the code in the css that you provided, but it didn't change the border at all.

/* Social Media Icons
------------------------------------------------------------ */.widget-area .social {
float: left;
margin: 20px 20px 10px 10px;
padding: 24px 15px 4px 4px;
width: 55px;
height: 105px;
border: 0;
}djw2MemberWill do right now then.
Thank you.
djw2MemberHey that worked! Thanks so much, SoZo.
Could I post the image css here too for some help with the social icons border, or do I need to start a new thread for that?
December 30, 2012 at 10:39 pm in reply to: How to align social icons horizontally and remove border? #8526djw2Member@anitac, that worked, sort of, except for my spacing issues. The custom menu doesn't create a box in the sidebar like the other widgets. I haven't yet figured out how to make it appear with the grey box like the others. Thanks for the help with the code and custom menu idea.
The only thing I am left wondering is if this can be done without the custom menu 'label'. I tried removing it, but it then deleted the entire menu contents, so apparently labels are important for this to work with WordPress. I do like the look a little better without the words along with the social media icons, but at least the icons are now aligned properly and no longer have the image border.
@Riavon, I might give that plugin a try, just to see how it works on a different blog.Thank you.

<div id="social-networking">
<ul>
<li><a href="https://twitter.com/DarlingChampagne" target="_blank" /><img src="http://darlingchampagne/files/2012/12/twitter-icon.png" /></a> </li>
<li> <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Darling-Champagne/461867817203453" target="_blank"><img src="http://darlingchampagne/files/2012/12/fb-icon.png"></a> </li>
<li> <img src="http://darlingchampagne/files/2012/12/pint-icon.png"> </li>
<li> <img src="http://darlingchampagne/files/2012/12/yt-icon.png"> </li>
</ul>
</div>December 29, 2012 at 10:43 pm in reply to: How to align social icons horizontally and remove border? #8298djw2MemberI placed the css code in the style.css (via ftp) file.
December 29, 2012 at 9:48 pm in reply to: How to align social icons horizontally and remove border? #8290djw2MemberI am using the Scribble theme and not using plugins to generate the code. I've added a text widget in the sidebar with a div. The images were added to the media library and I've added the img src in the text widget.
Brian, I tried the style you gave me, but they didn't help. Still have border around the images and icons are still vertical. I have tried every conceivable variation and 'tweak', but nothing will change, for some reason.
