Spot on. Thanks for the help!
CYBERsproutMemberI created a staging environment so you can inspect the live site here: http://hgbdclone.flywheelsites.com/about-me/
There is a password gate that you'll need the following to access:
u: flywheel
p: studiopress-forumFor moderators, the above username and password is fine on a public forum so please don't delete.
CYBERsproutMemberHere is a screenshot of the problem: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6az3f0jubvmgupa/Screen%20Shot%202015-07-13%20at%205.14.57%20PM.png?dl=0
I removed the titles from the pages, but I have not been able to remove the div.page-title area. And the page-title area is cutting into the header image so it appears to overlapping with the wrapper below it.
CYBERsproutMemberIt's "under construction" right now but at any rate it is http://www.heathergodfrey.com.
CYBERsproutMemberThe backstretch image works just fine. It's the background image option that is shown in the Dropbox image above. I didn't push it live so you won't be able to see it on the site.
I did make a lot of changes to help out with the speed by analyzing the waterfall from Pingdom and webpagetest.org. They are super useful tools!
Thanks for all the insight!
CYBERsproutMember@Erik yep, that all makes perfect sense. Thank you for the detailed answer!
Ideally, I would love to just use a background image but the one in the WP customizer doesn't stretch the whole screen so it looks odd (https://www.dropbox.com/s/r7ig5un03cc1bet/Screen%20Shot%202015-06-20%20at%2010.59.01%20PM.png?dl=0). I tried searching the styles.css file to fix the background image to fit 100% of the height and width, but I can't seem to find the right fix. Any suggestions?
CYBERsproutMember@Christoph thanks for the quick reply!
What is weird is that the background image loads instantly. Only the backstretch image option takes much longer. I would use the background image option for this reason but it doesn't cover the whole background. Is there some CSS I could use to make the background image fit the whole width and height of the screen?
CYBERsproutMember@Christoph that did the trick. I missed that text-align for the secondary menu and it was overriding my setting. Thanks!
