Hi,
you can use one of the following tutorials:
http://sridharkatakam.com/removing-entry-footer-posts-posts-page-genesis/
http://www.basicwp.com/edit-filed-under-tagged-with-text-studiopress/
ChristophMemberThe settings for the "sticky header" are around line 445 in the style.css
.site-header .wrap.sticky { background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% #FFF; position: fixed; width: 100%; }
To change the color change the
#FFF
value.

Is there a cache to flush on the wp-engine staging site?Ren Ventura just posted a collection of snippets to show/edit the read more link. Maybe one of those will do the trick for you.
http://www.engagewp.com/customize-wordpress-read-more-link/
ChristophMemberThat´s interesting behaviour in Chrome...
Around line 1443 try changing
.home-featured .wrap { margin-top: -160px; max-width: 782px;
to
.home-featured .wrap { margin-top: -160px; max-width: 1220px;
I´m not sure what you mean by "bump feature".
ChristophMemberThat´s weird.
I see the following css:.header-image .site-title>a { background-position: center !important; background-size: contain !important; display: block; height: 80px; margin: 0 auto; max-width: 400px;
Did you flush the cache?
ChristophMemberHi,
go to Genesis - Theme Settings - Content Archives.
Select Display post excerpts.
Save Settings.
ChristophMemberHi,
to not show front-page-1 try changing the css around line 1343 to
.front-page-1 { display: none; } .front-page-2, .front-page-3, .front-page-4 { border-top: 74px solid transparent; margin-top: -74px; -webkit-background-clip: padding-box; -moz-background-clip: padding; background-clip: padding-box; }
Of course you could also just do that for front-page-1 to-4:
.front-page-1, .front-page-2, .front-page-3, .front-page-4 { display:none; }
ChristophMemberHi,
around line 519 of the style.css you will find the following code:
.content { float: right; width: 880px; }
And around line 542:
.sidebar-primary { float: right; width: 360px; }
Change the widths to the values that look good to you.
ChristophMemberHi,
did you change the .header-image size in the style.css?
ChristophMemberHi Rose,
my only other idea is to open a support ticket at wordpress.org page of the plugin.
I hope you can get it to work.
ChristophMemberAround line 428 of the style.css
#inner { clear: both; overflow: hidden; padding-top: 32px; padding-top: 2rem; }
reduce the
padding-top:
values.
ChristophMemberI am so new here that I didn’t realise the WP editor allows you to edit functions.php too. hadn’t noticed.
That is commonly referred to as "cowboy coding". A mistake will break your website and you won´t be able to correct it with the WP editor. Make sure you have access to your website through cpanel or ftp.
But I do not know how to use the templates thing;
The template is just an illustration of sizes that are used by mobile devices.
how many different size logos to upload, nor understand the stuff about “media only screen and”
Starting around line 1344 of the style.css are the settings that are being used for different sizes of screens.
They are being called media queries and start with@media only screen and (max-width: ****px)
You can create a different sized logo for all the different media queries or even add more media queries for smaller screens...I’m not thinking the style and functions files are that messed up that they need to be scrapped.
I agree.
Did you receive my emails?
ChristophMemberHi Rose,
sorry that didn´t work.
I just read this response from the plugin author
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/icons-not-showing-21?replies=10#post-6378826
which would mean the security rule was triggered by having www and non-www mixes... But doesn't really say how to fix that...This snippet was mentioned in https://wordpress.org/support/topic/icons-dont-work-in-firefox?replies=14#post-4488674
## Fix Simple Social Icons for Firefox ## <FilesMatch "\.(ttf|otf|eot|woff)$"> <IfModule mod_headers.c> Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*" </IfModule> </FilesMatch>
Did you try that?
ChristophMemberHi,
go to Settings - Permalinks, select Post name, and save changes.
ChristophMemberI think you are referring to this
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/icons-not-showing-4?replies=5<files ~ ".(ttf|otf|eot|woff)$"> allow from all </files>
ChristophMemberThat did the trick!
This calls for a celebration.Indeed it does! 🙂
I´m happy we got that done.regarding changes unknown.
I’m sure I made changes before posting for help on this forum.
Is there a plug-in that tracks changes?
I´m not aware of any plugin that tracks changes to css and php.
I was into functions.php and style.css numerous times.
Suggestions as how also to reset to clean versions of these files and adding back the minimum changes to be here?
If you think I should just move forward with what I have, I will.
Or suggestions as how also to reset to clean versions of these files and adding back the minimum changes to be here?Ideally, you´d want to built it right.
Realistically, you already spent a lot of time trying to get it right and your wife is growing impatient...You know of course that now, I am moments away from my next issue.
Yes, I see the next issue. It made me hesitate to just say above "Let´s continue with what we have" 😉
I signed up to get notified when your site goes live.
Thank you. That is very kind of you.
If you do consulting, maybe you could give me an idea of how you charge.
Yes, I have limited consulting spots. Send me an email to info at my domain name and give me an overall idea what you want your website to do for you, what you want to offer, what features you want to have, what marketing you want to do... That will help me get an idea of the scope of the project and what I could offer you.
At the end of the day, you have to answer the question whether the time you spent on trying to figure all this out wouldn't be better spent on creating content and marketing material for your website.
The logo’s sides gets clipped on my android no matter how I twist the phone
zooming out doesn’t helpThat´s because the header is not responsive. Here is a tutorial that explains how to fix that (It needs some adjusting for your website):

ChristophMemberHi,
It´s showing up on the desktop view for me, too.
I think you got some malware on your website.I can see some css being outputted from http://www.christfellowship.com/?mcsf_action=main_css&ver=4.1
that includes<a href="http://nisri.org/?instant-payday-loans-nz">instant payday loans nz</a>
mcsf_action has usually something to do with the Mailchimp List Subscribe Form plugin. I´m not saying that plugin is infected. I´m just wondering why this css is there. I can not see an email subscribe form on the website...
On http://www.christfellowship.com/rev_blog/ you have a different link to "nsf non sufficient funds".
Did you install any themes or plugins lately?
If so, did they come from a reputable source?Are WordPress and your themes and plugins all up-to-date?
Are you using any security plugins (like iThemes Security, Wordfence, Sucuri,...)?
In WordPress check under Users if there are any names with admin privileges that you don´t recognize and delete them.
While you are there, change your password.Run a scan for malware on your website with the Wordfence and/or Sucuri plugin.
Depending on the results, remove or fix the infected files.
If this sounds too overwhelming, Sucuri offers a paid service to remove malware.
ChristophMemberHi,
you probably have to change the "static page" under Settings - Reading - Front page displays.
January 10, 2015 at 2:16 pm in reply to: Cannot add continue reading to content post archive #136911ChristophMemberHi,
the code you are using is to change the read more button when you are using the WordPress More Tag in the WordPress Editor to break a post on your site.
To make it work on Archive pages you can try the following code:
// Add Read More Link to Excerpts add_filter('excerpt_more', 'get_read_more_link'); add_filter( 'the_content_more_link', 'get_read_more_link' ); function get_read_more_link() { return '... <a href="' . get_permalink() . '">[Read More]</a>'; }
Props for this code snippet go to http://wpatch.com/how-to-add-a-read-more-link-to-genesis-child-theme-excerpts/
ChristophMemberHi,
you are missing the semicolons at the end of the lines.
It should look like
border-bottom: 0px;
