I'm a little put out with the themes and my issue reminds me why I stopped using the studiopress themes to begin with. Look, the way I see it, people buy a theme for one reason, they dont know how or dont want to code. If they knew code and understood where to go in a Function.php or in a stylesheet they would just make their own website themselves not buy a wordpress theme template.

Why am I being give code "snippets" to make basic changes that are common changes. I should not have to enter into the stylesheet to upload a custom header. I should not have to code into the stylesheet to increase or decrease or center a header.

Why do I need to freakin get a snippet of code to add the read me more link on an archive or Category page. If the page is coded to give a summary a "read more" hyperlink should show up automatically. Or at least an option that I can check or uncheck under appearance someplace.

Nearly every single direction you have termed a snippet is a function that should be able to add WITHOUT code. We should be able to go into the wp-dashboard and click on something that does whatever your code snippets do.

You would be better served submitting this to StudioPress directly, rather than to the community.

Frankly I couldn't agree more. I'm two days into Genesis and it seems more of a Malachi than a Genesis.

Also bought the Design Palette Pro and that too is ridiculous.

Seriously thinking about asking for my money back and going back to Thesis.

You clearly don't understand the purpose of Genesis, or WordPress themes for that matter.

Everyone needs a theme because a theme is what gives a WordPress website it's design and structure. Themes are not just for people who don't know how to code. Whether you use a custom theme, a theme framework like Genesis or a theme with bloated options and page builders, a theme is required.

When you decided to use Genesis, you decided to use a lightweight theme framework with a complete hook system for customizing. It is not intended to be the type of theme you seem to need and StuidoPress certainly does not claim that it is. If you aren't comfortable with HTML/CSS and PHP, Genesis is not for you.
