When I try to share the website's home page on sites like Facebook, no image appears available for a thumbnail.

Here is the home page: http://nyafterdarkmovie.com/

I am using the Modern Portfolio theme and embedding the image via "Image (JetPack)". I've also tried embedding the image via the "Text" widget and get the same results.

How can I get an image to appear for the home page?

Thanks in advance for you help.

    Cheers,
    Michaela

You need to setup Facebook open graph data in your theme setup - http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-add-facebook-open-graph-meta-data-in-wordpress-themes/

If you already use SEO by Yoast plugin, it has in-built feature for this functionality.

Thanks Davinder! I went the Yoast route and followed their tips here: https://yoast.com/social-media-optimization-with-wordpress-seo-by-yoast/

    Cheers,
