Howdy,
Here's a simple site I did for some friends living and raising their kids on a boat in the Pacific!
Minimum was perfect for a clean nautical look.
Cheers!
This is awesome! I'm a big boat guy. Been on them since I was born. Power boats at first, but then I learned to sail when I was 9 or 10. Most recently, for the last few years I've crewed on a 30-foot Columbia Sport Yacht for local San Diego regattas. My wife and I have considered living aboard with kids, but it's much more complicated in SoCal than it is in other parts of the country.
I have this site: http://floatways.com - I was developing it for a while but eventually let it sit on the backburner while working on other more profitable projects.
Cheers for that!
it certainly is a small world. Spent a large part of my childhood in Chula Vista, learned to sail small boats at summer ventures program there when school was out in the summers.
Of course then we moved to a landlocked part of the US where I promptly forgot much of it until moving to Australia and meeting the friends who run the site; I even crewed a bit for 'skipper' on MV Galaxy I up here in Port Douglas prior to their grand adventure.
I'd say if you still have the bug go for it; they are loving life and the kids are doing great! can always do a big trip over here and sail the Aussie coasts 🙂
Awesome. I'm from Puerto Rico and spent some time in Hawaii. Only been in SD for a few years. Eventually we'll have a boat again, but likely not doing the liveaboard anymore even when we have a boat again. We were considering it 4-5 years ago, but since then we've grown into a lifestyle that we kinda like but brought us away from the easy possibility of living aboard. Cheers, Danny
Love it! Very clean, no distractions.
