    Hello,

I have a custom post type called "news", and what i am trying to achieve is an archive page wich sorts this news.
    e.g.:
    - February 2015
    [table]
    -- [link to newspost]
    -- [link to newspost]
    -- [link to newspost]
    [/table]

    january 2015
    [table]
    -- [link to newspost]
    -- [link to newspost]
    -- [link to newspost]
    [/table]

    ...

I created a working archive-news.php template file, but I am wondering what code to implement next.
My permalinks are fine (i guess), i can visit the archive by browsing to mysite.com/news (i am developing on a localhost).

From searching the web i stumbled many times at the wp_get_archives() function and the many ways to alter it for custom types, but i can't make the above layout to work.

I would be very pleased if someone could give me a headstart on this 😀

In case there would be someone else having this problem,
I just made it work via this link.

In my archive-news.php i replaced the standard loop with a custom genesis loop and put his code in it.
    Tweaking time now 😀
