Have you tried using Firebug addon to inspect which element you should edit?
Here's a tutorial we published early this week http://wpspeak.com/firebug/
wpspeakMemberHi azparis, looks like this is not something really hard to do.
.post-comments > a {
background: #333333;
float: right;
margin: 0 20px;
}To use image as background, replace the hex color #333 with url(images/new-background.png);
- Where new-background.png is the name of your image and is placed in /images/ folder in your theme.
wpspeakMemberHi faith, the Scribe theme is using a repeated image as background.
You may find it here http://demo.studiopress.com/scribble/wp-content/themes/scribble/images/bg.png
September 13, 2013 at 7:44 am in reply to: eleven40 – change summary posts layout on home page #62258wpspeakMemberThe front page of Eleven40 is using Genesis grid loop and you can find the code from home.php file.
Here's the code:
remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' );
add_action( 'genesis_loop', 'eleven40_grid_loop_helper' );
/** Add support for Genesis Grid Loop */
function eleven40_grid_loop_helper() {if ( function_exists( 'genesis_grid_loop' ) ) {
genesis_grid_loop( array(
'features' => 1,
'feature_image_size' => 0,
'feature_image_class' => 'alignleft post-image',
'feature_content_limit' => 0,
'grid_image_size' => 'grid-thumbnail',
'grid_image_class' => 'alignnone',
'grid_content_limit' => 250,
'more' => __( '[Continue reading]', 'genesis' ),
) );
} else {
genesis_standard_loop();
}}
You could simply delete the home.php or comment these two lines of codes:
//remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' );
//add_action( 'genesis_loop', 'eleven40_grid_loop_helper' );
The first line removes the default loop, while the second line rebuild the loop using Genesis grid loop.
September 12, 2013 at 11:02 pm in reply to: How Do I Get Page To Show On Homepage Of Generate Theme #62199wpspeakMemberThat's called a static page.
From you dashboard, go to Settings > Reading > Front page displays and choose the static page you would like to display from the dropdown
wpspeakMemberCreate a new page, somewhere at the bottom you'll see the metabox for custom body class. Insert the body class of of the color there.
Page template: Blog.
Then add the page to the menu from Appearance > Menu
wpspeakMemberWe did you see the warning? If you use child theme, there's no such warning.
Genesis Simple Edits plugin helps you to add any code to any location using Genesis hooks, depending what you want to add.
So, what exactly are you trying to do?
wpspeakMemberOk, I think I've done something like this and therefore I'd like to share it with you.
1. Genesis already has a built in shortcode. There's a less-known shortcode to output any custom taxonomies, [post_terms].
Ref: http://my.studiopress.com/docs/shortcode-reference/#post-terms-shortcode
So you might use something like this [post_terms taxonomy="location"]
2. You can put the shortcode in post info or post meta section (referred as Entry Meta in HTML5-enabled theme). Here are some links to customize it
http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/entry-header/#customize
http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/entry-footer/#customize3. Since we only want to output the custom tax in Portfolio CPT we can combine the code above with conditional tag and filter.
Take a look at this link, see the second block of code

wpspeakMemberHi regocreative,
I'm not a Minimum Pro user but I believe the post is generated by Genesis Grid loop. You may found it from the front-page.php file of your theme
http://my.studiopress.com/tutorials/genesis-grid-loop/
* Please note that in the tutorial, the code is placed in home.php but as far as I know, in Minimum Pro theme, it is now placed in your front-page.php file.
Removing the code will remove the posts from your home. Please let me know if that helps.
wpspeakMemberYes, that's possible.

wpspeakMemberHi,
This should be very easy to do.
Open your style.css and look for this code:
.site-header .avatar,
.site-header .site-avatar img {
border-radius: 50% 50% 50% 50%;
display: block;
float: none;
height: 120px;
margin: 0 auto 2.4rem;
width: 120px;
}
You need to remove the border-radius property. For size, you can change the height and width. The default is 112px for both height and width.
Hope that helps
wpspeakMemberNever did that before but hopefully I can point you to the right direction:
1. Here's a tutorial on adding "extras" to your primary menu. If you're using your own custom menu, you probably want to tweak it a lil' bit.
http://www.rfmeier.net/add-a-custom-primary-nav-extras-within-genesis/
2. Here's another tutorial on adding the date to your theme.
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-display-todays-date-in-wordpress/
wpspeakMemberThis reply has been marked as private.wpspeakMemberwpspeakMemberI think you need to remove support for view port. This probably gonna help you http://www.briangardner.com/code/add-viewport-meta-tag/
wpspeakMemberThat's a custom design. But here's some tutorial that might help you get there http://www.briangardner.com/sticky-menu/
wpspeakMember1. Have you tried use the default to twenty twelve theme?
2. If that does not solve your problem, that means the news theme has no problem. For WooCommerce specific problem, I recommend asking in their forum or from their support staff.
wpspeakMemberHi,
If you're talking about the Editors' Picks section, then it's not a grid. Just a normal blog layout. In your Genesis settings page, you can choose a featured image. Choose the thumbnail 150x150 as the featured image. And probably need some CSS as well
wpspeakMemberwpspeakMemberThe tutor is straight forward, pretty sure you can follow it. Just to let you know, I used the same code for one of my projects and it works perfectly.
