    it doesnt work. I added the anchor tag and the image tag and get neither in the output.

    here is the page I am working with (category archives):

    Sorry, the first line is the last line of the code above it in my fuctions.php file. You actually linked to the article that I got the code from.

    I went into the "All Pages" view and was able to change it with a quick-edit.

    I am having the exact same problem with the Serenity Theme, but I don't even know enough about coding php to understand what you are saying as to how to fix it... can you guys / gals be more specific as far as how to get that "Page Attributes" box back so that I can add a blog page?
