Thanks Summer! You have confirmed my hunch. I'll look into that Floating Social Bar too - I've been using Digg Digg, which I like for the most part, but it seems to have problems for some users who use facebook - and a large white box to cover the whole page. Not good.

    Thanks again,
    Lisa

Thanks for sharing the plugins you use - very helpful.

I notice you guys don't use either the WP-Super Cache or the W3 cache? I ask, because I have been having trouble with my site - and i think it's the WP-super cache causing problems. And I'm wondering whether it's necessary to have at all, or can I just remove?

    Cheers,
    Lisa

    Hi Jonas,
My mistake - I added in a closed bracket in the first line. One of these "/" - thought it was missing. But when I do as you said and paste it directly it does work. My apologies. And thank you!

Hey, I don't want to take up too much more of your time, but I wondered - is the black box behind the menu an image? I want to make the text black and remove the thick black background to the menu. Suspect this is simple, but have been hunting for a while and can't seem to find it!

    Anyway,
thanks so much for your help!
    Cheers,
    Lisa

    Thanks for the code, Jonas.

When I do that, it doesn't seem to work. Menu is in the standard place.

Do you know why this would be?

Thanks for you help Brad. I have just tried what you said, nervously, and wallah - it worked. Thanks so much. Really appreciate it.

Now I can see that I hadn't read the code I'd copied in and there was definitely a problem with it. Was obvious when I looked at the actual file.

    Anyway, cheers!

Actually, I haven't uploaded the file, I just found the functions file I downloaded originally from Genesis and then copied and pasted it into the editor. Is this the same thing?

    Hi, Brad.
There isn't a line 109. It only goes up to 107. I tried downloading the original child theme functions file and it still comes up with this message. Seems strange. Am sure is something I've overlooked but can't see it. At the same time this error message came up i added some new code to the bottom the child theme style sheet. Could this have something to do with the error message?

    Any other ideas??

    Cheers,
    L
