Beginning around May 15, I discovered errors appearing as well.
Thus far I have been unable to identify whether it is Yoast 14 or a recent Genesis update.
Yoast is enabled on my end and per instructions, Genesis Breadcrumbs disabled.
Thoughts anyone?
TrekGAIAParticipantThanks for the response.
Hmmm, there is no "G" settings in the top right of the post editor on the archive pages (blog, categories, etc.), so unfortunately this isn't an option.
I discovered in another post in the forum you mention the removal of the Archive Template post Gen 3.0. Could this be the factor preventing changing layout via Bill's plugin?
TrekGAIAParticipantHey Anita:
Thanks for investing the time to explore the question in the broader network and for following up with a proposed solution! And a potentially interesting work around at that!
To test, I dropped Erickson's plugin on the staging site and included in the functions.php file the function he shares in the setup instructions that is required. No dice.
Bill says on the plugin page,
Once installed and set up, go to Landing Pages > Add New. Add any number of blocks and content to your landing page. Look for the "Appears On" box in the right column. Select the taxonomy (ex: "Category") and the taxonomy term (ex: "Appetizers") that you would like this landing page used on. Click "Publish" and your landing page content will appear at the top of the archive.
The issue is that in the Post Editor, there is no "Display On" option. I wonder whether this is related to the recent updates on November 13 SP released for some of the themes (I am using Magazine 3.5.0).
Any additional thoughts?
Thanks again!
TrekGAIAParticipantOhhhh!
Before finding this post, I went into the function and front page php files and removed the lines referenced above and then fired the engine, but it rendered the site totally useless!
I was missing the style.css file!
Thanks!
TrekGAIAParticipant@notfarnow - how did you:
1. get full viewport width on the homepage widget one, and
2. design it so that the img does not go to the bottom of the viewport?
