It's weird but it got fixed by itself. I'm not sure if it was a plugin update or some custom function that had caused the problem

Thanks, that's actually what I'm currently doing to show the Excerpt on my category pages, and it works.
I would prefer the automated way as the excerpt is always the first text paragraph from my post.
And once I disable the Excerpt section on the post creation page, I would imagine it would start automatically pulling the excerpt from the post, however, it doesn't seem to work now.

The code seem to work for all the other tags except <a> tag.
I was trying to add a hyperlink there, but couldn't get it to work.

I tried it but that doesn't seem to do what I need.
I would need to have the social buttons in the loop for each blog post.

I realised that it's just easier to build the responsive menu from scratch.

Just need to use:
.current-menu-parent class and that does it
