ParticipantI want to make the header 420x165.

ParticipantLynne-
Have you ever edited the header in Going Green?I tried to follow the instructions to the t. I even used the suggested sizes. But it didn't work. I tried with edits to the CSS and php files and FTP upload. Also tried making edits to Genesis Extender which is hit or miss sometimes when getting Save to stick.
Do you think I should try again with this tutorial or try another tutorial? If I can ask for other feedback, what do you think of Going Green as a theme that is good for editing?
Thank you for your time.

ParticipantSo I did this tutorial: http://www.basicwp.com/add-new-widget-genesis-homepage/#
Anyone have any suggestions how to remove the three display blog posts on the bottom of the Appfinite theme Optimal? I want to replace it with a content/sidebar. I may also try to add the image over the content/sidebar.
Please offer feedback:

ParticipantThank you so much for your help. No, that doesn't work though. I'm going to call it for the week.
I would think Studiopress would design its "mobile responsive" themes with this feature. I must have coded something wrong, despite my best intentions.
Thanks.

November 6, 2014 at 1:03 pm in reply to: Want to Remove Ugly Current Item Hover, Default Color, in Executive Pro #130710swstudio
ParticipantThank you surefirewebserv, but I've been doing that for three days on and off and it doesn't work with the Genesis Extender.
Does anyone else have a similar experience with the Executive Pro theme and editing the default colors and the menu bar? Why can't I change that one item?
Thanks.

ParticipantBrad, thank you! I appreciate and have used all your advice.
I appreciate thoughts and feedback from others on this, if others have struggled with this and how they have resolved it.

ParticipantCan I check back with you braddalton or someone else so willing to offer feedback? Here's my site: http://tinyurl.com/lrr5cr3.
Is it safe to also narrow the height of the navigation bar? It's so big and ugly. But the text doesn't center align when I try to make the adjustment and I'm wondering if I'm going beyond a good place.
Thank you!

ParticipantThank you very much. I'll try it now.

ParticipantThanks - the Extended is easy to use. I have used the Genesis Extender forums and they are excellent, read the changelogs, etc. I'm just scared of WordPress not working with it over time and losing my client's respect. I guess I have to have faith.
The whole subject of custom CSS stylesheets and plugins like the Extender are too little compared to traditional child theme editing and their actual success over a year or more on forums.
Thanks!

ParticipantDid you ever get your site up? I see it's on maintenance mode and that makes me wonder if Going Green is a good theme to invest my time in. Thanks.

ParticipantI use the Chrome and Firefox web tools. But the concept of mobile styles and that specific header widget are just new.
Thanks.

ParticipantDo you know what div I'm looking for specifically on the top header right?
In the Media Queries, is it:
#widget-area header-widget {
display: none;
}I understand the concept, but do not understand what the header right widget coding is. I appreciate it if you or anyone out there on the forum can help.

ParticipantHi. Thanks so much for your help. I set up the Enterprise template at http://www.bigelowfencing.com. I would like to know how to create it so there is the main image, then two-thirds a size wide text and then one-third size as a sidebar. Sort of like http://www.heifetzrose.com.
What do you think?
That aside, I am looking to work with outside WordPress support and will look over your website. Thanks.

ParticipantCan I add an image to the sample Genesis theme if I use this layout? (above the text area, below the logo).
See http://medical.expert-witness-blog.com/8-2/
Also, any direction for adding a header graphic/logo?
Thanks to anyone who can help.
