You can either add the code to a page or add the code to your functions file. You would replace the include paths to your new html file that you made, or you can replace the include with the actual code.
add_action( 'genesis_after_post_content','sf_affiliate_block' );
/**
* Add affiliate box template to end of single post.
*
* If post is in Better Web Design category (190), use a different template.
*
* @since 1.0.0
* @author Sure Fire Web Services
* @link http://surefirewebservices.com/?p=1521
*
* @return Return null if not a single post.
*/
function sf_affiliate_block() {
if ( ! is_single() )
return;if ( in_category( '190' ) ) // if in the category with an id of 190
// echo 'your new code' or include your file
else
// echo 'a different code' or include your file
}I use this same exact code to add my after post files. If you go on my site, anything that has to do with genesis (or is in the genesis category) will get a "built on genesis" block of text after the post, while every other post with get a "learn web design" block of text.
Bottom line, there are multiple ways to handle this. The plugins will definitely work, (another plugin recommendation would be simple sidebars) or you can code it directly into the functions.php file. They all work.

Genesis Theme Starter Kit | It’s FreesurefirewebservMemberWell I wouldn't necessarily say that it's wrong, #wrap is the first tag on the top of the site, it only seems like the issue you're seeing is when someone is logged in and the admin bar is being displayed. There are ways around that, simply turning the admin bar off on the front end would fix it.
In any case, the short code and filter I provided allows you to change it to go wherever you want, so the flexibility to change it is there, and that's what really matters.
It's just a matter of preference.

Genesis Theme Starter Kit | It’s FreesurefirewebservMemberThat code works, just tested it. Did you put it in the functions.php file? Did you change #content to where you want the back to top to go? Are you using a child theme?
You can copy this verbatim
add_filter( 'genesis_footer_backtotop_text', 'custom_footer_backtotop_text' ); function custom_footer_backtotop_text($backtotop) { $backtotop = '[footer_backtotop text="Return to Top" href="#"]'; return $backtotop; }
An alternate solution would be to download the genesis simple edits plugin and edit the footer info using the back to top shortcode with href="#"
[footer_backtotop text="Top" href="#"]
More information on the shortcodes are found here: http://my.studiopress.com/docs/shortcode-reference/#footer-backtotop-shortcode

Genesis Theme Starter Kit | It’s FreesurefirewebservMemberNo need to change that, that's the actual code that creates the short code, but the short code already has the href attribute in place: [footer_backtotop text="Top" href="#content"]
You can change it to anything you want.
Here's the filter to change what the default is:
add_filter( 'genesis_footer_backtotop_text', 'custom_footer_backtotop_text' ); function custom_footer_backtotop_text($backtotop) { $backtotop = '[footer_backtotop text="Return to Top" href="#content"]'; return $backtotop; }
That should work.

#sidebar .widget.enews-widget { background-color: #222; margin: 0 0 30px; padding: 40px; }
Then change the background to the image you want =)

Here's some insight to that: http://www.onextrapixel.com/2009/05/05/how-to-create-a-simple-print-css-for-your-site/

Genesis Theme Starter Kit | It’s FreesurefirewebservMemberWordPress let's you add the read more button anywhere in the article by pressing the "more" button on the editor. In the visual editor it's a button that looks like a dotted line separating two parts.
To style it, just edit the .more-link class on your style sheet.
Also, to add a separator between posts, you can add a border-bottom to the .post class.

Genesis Theme Starter Kit | It’s FreesurefirewebservMemberMobile First is a preference. There's no defined way to code.
There's also a difference between an actual mobile site and a mobile responsive design.
It's just a preference, you can always dive into the style sheet and start to tweak the mobile media query to suit your needs better if it's not that way out the box.
I do believe the mobile approach is being taken in Genesis 2.0, I can't confirm that though.

Genesis Theme Starter Kit | It’s FreesurefirewebservMemberUnfortunately that's the extent of what I'm able to help with. I'm not familiar with IPBWI or how it integrates with WordPress.
The code I provided targets the single pages and removes the comment section, since it's not working there may be other factors at play.
I'll post to twitter to see if anyone else can help out. Sorry.

.streamline-green .simple-social-icons ul li a { color:#ccc; }
It may be a bug because I had the same issues with a site I'm working on. Except it was for the :visited state. Make sure to double check that as well.

Genesis Theme Starter Kit | It’s FreesurefirewebservMemberIt's just a page template set to display your posts. The options to control it are in the genesis settings.
If you use WordPress as a CMS and not a blog, you may have a separate section or page to display a blog, that's what it's used for.

Genesis Theme Starter Kit | It’s FreesurefirewebservMemberwhat's the site? It should def work, all your doing is removing the media queries from changing anything when the screen size is changed. What you'll get is your site as is, you'll have to do some finger scrolling a bit but the site should still work...

I think the simple sidebars plugin would suffice without the extra code in functions.php.

Genesis Theme Starter Kit | It’s FreesurefirewebservMemberThis is a case in which you'll have to use specific selectors.
#header .menu li:first-child a { background-image: none; }
That would work just find but you have the background style applied to both the active state, and the hover state, and the plain state, which is why your menu wigged out. You only took the BG off the plain state but still have the other ones styled.
#header .menu li:first-child a, #header .menu li:first-child a:hover, #header .menu li:first-child a:active { background-image: none; }
Try that.
Also, keep in mind you're only targeting the menu in the header.
Another method would be the following:
.menu-primary li + li, .menu-secondary li + li, #header .menu li + li { border-left:1px solid #ccc; }
That would add the border to everything except the first element as well.

Adding a display:none to those should work.
