    Hello again,

    The problem with my site was with data serialization as mentioned above and has now been resolved.

    Thank you both for your assistance.

    Thanks again for your detailed explanation, it is much appreciated.

    I understand the process now and will give it a try (even if I do not fully understand all the reasons for wanting to leave the sites in a subdirectory).

    Thanks for all your assistance.

    Thanks for your feedback, Dev. I thought that might be the case.

    Can you please tell me then what needs to be in the index.php in root for the scenario that you use?

    Thanks again,
    Conny

    Hi Lauren,

    Thank you for your feedback. Yes, I also posted on the WordPress forum looking for help.

    I found some information about data serialization and using this tool https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/ to prevent it. I am wondering if that is my problem and will give it a try.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Dev,

    I just found this thread as I am having difficulty migrating a WP site to root myself (see http://www.studiopress.community/topic/problem-moving-site-from-foler-to-root-directory/).

    I am intrigued by the idea of leaving the WP site in the subdirectory, but having it act as if it was in root. Is it possible to do so that all URLs resolve to root rather than having the subdirectory name in between?

    If so, could you tell me how to do that?

    Thanks,
    Conny

    In the 1020 media query, I have

    .home-left,
    .home-middle,
    .home-right,`

    set to 100% width and 0 margin (that was the default in the Agency theme). At that exact browser size, when the three columns collapse underneath each other, they have padding on the left yet get cut off at right. That should not be the case, I still feel that the issue must be with a higher level wrapping tag somewhere.

    Hi Anitac,

    Thanks for your response and suggestion.

    I added margin to the right of ".entry-content p" and, while it works for the #content paragraph application, it does not seem to be the "real problem". If you go to the Home page and reduce below 100% or the Calendar page, the problem persists with the elements there. Somehow there must be wrong settings at a higher css level.

    I don't quite understand why, at some point, the body copy on the left stops moving and the browser bar starts cutting into the copy on the right.

    Do you have further thoughts?

    Thank you
    Conny

    Hi Betty.

    No, unfortunately I do not know how or if it's possible to choose images from the media library with this plugin. Maybe you can find some information in the plugin's Support Forum?

    Good luck again.

    Hi Becky,

    Yes, I did use the genesis slider that Mayur pointed to. In WP admin, under Genesis > Slider Settings you can define what images, transition (Slide vs. Fade), etc. that you want to use. If you want to exclude images from posts, you could choose "Include" and list all the pages from which the "featured" image should be included. I hope this makes sense.

    Good luck!

    Thank you for your feedback, Brad, and pointing out alternative methods for using header images. I will consider them for future projects... for the time being my issue with the mentioned site has been resolved.

    Thanks again,

    Hi Aaron, adding the CSS you indicated did the trick. Thanks so much for your help!

    I am not quite sure what other elements you recommend that I add the ".wrap" class to. Elements under the Responsive Design like this:

    /* Responsive Design
    ———————————————————— */

    @media
    only screen and (max-width: 800px) {

    .five-sixths,
    .four-fifths,
    .four-sixths,
    .one-fifth,
    .one-fourth,
    .one-half,
    .one-sixth,
    .one-third,
    .three-fifths,
    .three-fourths,
    .three-sixths,
    .two-fifths,
    .two-fourths,
    .two-sixths,
    .two-thirds {
    padding: 0;
    width: 100%;
    }
    }

    Again thank you for your help!
