Hi,
Thanks for your note - I'd already clocked the HTML5 story and have been using latest Genesis ver. on other client sites.
However in this case the client (a charity) was dead keen on the old Lexicon theme having invested many hours thereon - it actually looks very smart.Despite much searching I've not found a decent HTML5 theme that looks as good, and have not encountered any functional snags with it at all.
Of course security is the big concern, and nobody seems to have any clues at all on the wisdom of continuing to use the Genesis 2.x framework.
Various security-testing plugins and sites don't raise any serious alarms.
Cheers.strategioParticipantHi,
(Not exactly on topic for this theme, but I haven't been able to get an answer in other forum.)
The query is:
Are there any known security issues associated with using older Genesis (2.x) framework, particularly with the retired Lexicon theme? Our valued client put a huge amount of useful posts and styling into his site using (2.x) with the Lexicon theme, then had to mothball the site.
Content is still highly relevant but we've not found a modern equivalent of Lexicon - it just has a certain 'Techie/ reference' look that appealed to many at the time. Thanks in advance anyone!
strategioParticipantHi,
Does anyone have authoritative advice on continuing to use Genesis 2.x framework please?
Specific security references would be handy.TIA
JackstrategioParticipantThanks Victor - greatly appreciated.
I guess the leading question then becomes:
What are potential security hazards in running a 2.x version of framework.Regards
