MemberDid you add the genesis enews widget to your "after post" box in your widget section? I did this on my blog.

MemberI'm going to upload my new logo image this week as I just hired a designer this morning. I still have the default text one showing but on the old genesis theme I had, I never ran into this issue. I'll let a moderator or another member toss in some advice.

MemberWhen you upload your image in the header section, look at the bottom of that page and take the checkmark off " Show header text with your image." since you don't want the text header no more and save settings. Your logo image ethat you uploaded and selected will be clickable.

MemberIn your admin dashboard go to --->Appearance ----> Header and upload your logo.
Now to make it mobile responsive, you will have to install Nick's plugin. It can be found on his blog: http://designsbynickthegeek.com/plugins/genesis-responsive-header

MemberI just switched a few days ago to the newest mobile responsive theme released. You can read about it on the blog. (I'm getting a custom header image designed right now)

The themes maybe coded a little different as some might have extra features then other ones. Have you used the "filter theme" box in the side column on this page to narror down other themes? http://my.studiopress.com/themes/
Some themes from stupdiopress developers on this page: http://my.studiopress.com/community-themes/

February 2, 2013 at 9:19 pm in reply to: Is it a good idea to install Jetpack by WordPress.com on a self host wordpress? #17520Derek
MemberI haven't used the mobile version of the plugin because my StudioPress theme is already viewable on mobile device's and has basically the same layout and colors are the same as desktop version. I would just not use this as StudioPress codes there themes to perfection for mobile responsive.
I think by enabling to many JetPack features, you may slow down your blog's pagespeed. I only have 4 features enabled on my JetPack that I use daily.

I can remove the credits or modify them as I did this already.

MemberGood idea but other then the moderators on here and regular support members, other members like myself skim the forum thread titles for threads of interest to click on to read.
Remember to look at this suggestion from 2 different sides.

MemberYou don't see a "Update Now" link in your header or anything when in your admin dashboard?

Derek
MemberI believe all of the themes are mobile responsive right now. I really don't have a favorite one though. I guess I'd say the NEWS theme.

MemberI went to my dad's friends party last night. Since i'm looking to change career's, I was getting some contact's since everyone was drinking. (Easy to get a yes then a no when they have a few beers in there system) This was the first year I didn't go to a bar to bring in the new year.
I'm in a position at my current job for the past 13 years that I will lose my job this coming Feb, if I dont' transfer to new department (massive pay cut If I can move) or face the unemployment line. Little hard for me to get a online business going when I spent to much money on xmas present's so I'm going to try a new career and put the blog business idea on hold for now. (Need capital anyways)
I have a feeling 2013 will be a big year for all of us blogger's. I can't wait to see what StudioPress has instore for us.

MemberI am normally working 2nd shift but have to go into work tomorow at 7a.m. on first shift. I am used to going to bed around 4a.m. as I tend to work on my blog after hours when not doing my other stuff I am dedicated to. There is no way I can fall asleep way early tonight. I suspect I'll have maybe 2 hours the most of sleep tonight. lol
Don't have any plans for New Years eve to go out. Working on finding a friend or relative who has an expresso machine so I can stop by there after work for a cup or 2 to keep me awake. I'm going out to dinner after work and then watching new years at home. To top things off, i'm still sick and been cranky the past 2 day's.
This going to be a fun way to end 2012. lol
My resolution for 2013 is to find a new job within the next 2 months or i'll have to take a big risk to make up a large portion of income.

MemberMy webhost setup my w3 total cache plugin as I didn't know the server settings and features that was installed. If I tried installing the plugin myself and enabled what I wanted, it would of caused a lot of trouble. If you decided on using w3 total cache, first contact your web host and see if they will set it up for you or have instructions on how to customize it to get the best performance.
BTW, W3 Total Cache plugin was updated today and the security issue should now be resolved. (Or till someone spots a new threat)
