If this is will take more work to set up than you may be willing to do for free, please email me at [email protected] and we can discuss the project. Thanks!

    GK,

Thanks for responding. I have checked my css and don't see any issues. I think this may be a problem with the genesis framework itself. When I load the generic child theme demo on a computer running ie8, or use browserstack and test on ie8, the sidebar drops below the main content. IE8 is a pain in the butt, unfortunately its the #2 most common browser for my visitors.

    Any suggestions?

    DWooly 824,

That works to move the whole sub menu, but I would like the text to remain aligned. I need to increase the padding on the left as well. Is using a negative margin the correct way to do this?

Thanks for the tips guys. The site is already up, but is occasionally crashing and I am trying to make the code more efficient. The method I am currently using to load my homepage content is by homepage widget area, using a php widget which loads the php files. I would like code it all directly into the functions.php, into the easy hooks plugin or into a page template. You can see the site at firetrucksunlimited.com . Thanks for your help.

So you're saying I should just make templates for pages and use the require_once to bring in the php files. Thanks for your help!

Thanks, I read about the before content hook. Which file do I need to edit and where do I place the hook and my content? Do I need to make a separate php file with my content and define it as a hook?
