    The media settings are already set at 150 x 150.

    On the homepage of my website if you look at the source code for every thumbnail image generated for every post, it has code like this to display the image:
    http://i1.wp.com/www.ratracegrad.com/wp-content/uploads/make-money-with-solo-ads-without-a-ist.png?resize=150%2C150

    Google page speed is indicating the addition of the ?resize to the image is slowing the load time for my website. It wants to have it specify a width and height instead of the ?resize.

    How do I change so that the ?resize goes away and it specifies a width and height of 150?

    Anita,

    Thanks for sharing. That did show the featured image on the posts but then it introduced a new problem. On my home page that has a list of all my posts as excerpts, it now shows the featured image as a thumbnail and now the full size.  I don't want the featured image shown full size on home page that lists all my posts. Any suggestions on some magic code that will remove it from the home page?

    While I wait for your magic code I am removing the previous code.

    Thanks kindly.

    Thanks Schreckgespenster,

    I really wanted to customize the site to fit my personality. Nice to get positive feedback.

    John,

    Looking at your page it appears that you have a black link repeating behind the header. Is that what you wanted or something different?

    Roger,

    How to you get the page a little bit transparent?

    .footer-widgets, #wrap { background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.80); margin: 2rem auto; max-width: 1080px; overflow: hidden; }

    The rgba includes the standard red, green, blue with an alpha channel. An alpha channel sets the transparency level. He has it at 80% which provides the transparency level.

    How do you get a full page logo across the top?

    .header-image #title a {
        background: url('images/header.png') no-repeat;}

    You will also need to adjust the  min-height for your #header and header-image from the default 87px to the height of your image. Full screen headers are 1080px wide.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks Susan,

    I have spent all morning updating the site. I have made the widgettitle headers to be rounded corners like the menu. Changed menu from gray to red so it stands out more.

    Would love anybody else's feedback.

    I just renamed the home.php to home-old.php and that seems to give it the appearance of a traditional blog.
