This code will pull in a custom.css file from the child theme folder;
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'enqueue_custom_stylesheet' ); function enqueue_custom_stylesheet() { wp_register_style( 'custom-css', get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/custom.css' ); wp_enqueue_style( 'custom-css' ); }
The custom.css file will be pulled in after the style.css file so your custom CSS code will overwrite any default CSS code.
PeterMemberI'd say the child theme style.css is the custom CSS file really.. but if you wanted a separate physical custom.css file it's probably easiest to either enqueue it in the child theme functions.php file or use one of the custom CSS plugins.
PeterMemberYeah, sort of 🙂
The last number is the priority for the action, which basically dictates when it runs. If it's got a lower number than other actions, it runs before them. I'm not sure if there is Genesis specific documentation on action priorities, but you can see them if you look through the code.
You're welcome!
Edit: Oops, you beat me to it..
PeterMemberIf you wanted the nav before the header, you could use;
/** Reposition the primary navigation menu */ remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_nav' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_header', 'genesis_do_nav' );
Or if you wanted it in the header itself but before the title ..etc, you could use;
/** Reposition the primary navigation menu */ remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_nav' ); add_action( 'genesis_header', 'genesis_do_nav', 9 );
PeterMemberTry adding this to your style.css file at about line 440, just after the other CSS code for .current-menu-item ..etc;
#header ul.menu li.current_page_item a, #header ul.menu li.current-cat a, #header ul.menu li.current-menu-item a {color:#370801;}

PeterMemberWhen you add your G+ address in the theme settings, a rel=author meta tag is automatically added to the page. So long as you've listed your site in your G+ account, that's all Google needs to make the connection..
PeterMemberAdd the following line at the top of the style.css file, just before the 01 Defaults section;
@import url('http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=YourFont');
PeterMemberJust check you have two dashes (your example has one) after the first exclamation mark in your code..
PeterMemberHi there.
Here's some code you can add to your functions.php file and experiment with;
remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' ); add_action( 'genesis_loop', 'custom_do_loop' ); function custom_do_loop() { genesis_custom_loop( array( 'orderby' => 'modified' ) ); }
More info on the parameters you can use for your loop here;
PeterMemberAdding the following code to your functions.php file will get you started;
add_theme_support( 'genesis-custom-header', array( 'width' => 960, 'height' => 160 ) );
You'll also need to add CSS to your style.css file to make sure it displays properly.
The official documentation on custom headers is also worth reading;
January 22, 2013 at 6:42 am in reply to: Genesis Featured Post Widget – Post Title Font Size Adjust #13683PeterMemberOops, sorry Diane! You replied as I was writing my reply. You're quite right in what you say but I had a quick look at the widget code and it uses H2 tags for the individual post titles so there's a good chance the code will work..
January 22, 2013 at 6:34 am in reply to: Genesis Featured Post Widget – Post Title Font Size Adjust #13681PeterMemberAdding this to your CSS file should do the trick;
.widget.featuredpost h2 {font-size:14px;font-weight:bold;}
PeterMemberI think the social buttons default to displaying inline with your content. Try adding something like this to the plugin Extended options, in the "CSS styles to apply to the group" box;
display:block;height:25px;margin:15px 0;
PeterMemberHave you checked the code on that page yet? Those unclosed divs and links are still there if you look at the source code of the page..
PeterMemberThere's some suspect looking code in your content, just after where it says Marivel Hernandez.. a couple of unclosed divs containing links to errmm.. products..
