Membernever mind i had to put in a bit of extra code i found somewhere else to get it to work:
global $withcomments; $withcomments = 1; comments_template( ' ', true );
Jenny
MemberDon't think it worked T^T
Jenny
MemberI tried that one. It doesn't work right and there is no support for it.
Jenny
MemberAnyone? C'mon I know someone has the secret 😛
Jenny
Member@braddalton I'm not using a theme, I'm making my own:
& thank you 🙂 you're so awesome~
Jenny
Member@braddalton I have that in my theme already but i'm looking for a way to make my asides have no title (which is doable by display:none; i guess) BUT i want the the date and comments to be below the post where the tags/cats are on the asides posts only.
i'm slowly learning the ins & outs of the theme, but after looking around the interwebs and such i don't think it's really doable. makes me sad.
Jenny
MemberOk, so you know how the Twenty Thirteen theme has the different templates for the post formats? IE: content-asides.php, etc.
Can that be done with Genesis as well?
Jenny
MemberI tried those & they didn't work.
Jenny
MemberYou are awesome dood! 😀
Jenny
Member@braddalton Well here's my site. http://so-very.me
Right now I'm in the middle of designing my new theme (I make my own as I cannot afford child themes)
@Susan I'm not using a PDC design. I just liked what you had created and wanted to do something similar.Jenny
MemberI have it before the title. But I'll go thru that site when I get back. It looks promising~ Thanks!
Jenny
MemberI was actually looking for the answer to this yesterday. And I found it 😛
if ( ! isset( $content_width ) ) $content_width = 680;
That fixed it 😛 Of course you put in your own width. It goes in your functions file.
Jenny
MemberIt's gone from the available widgets. I am using a test blog with no Jetpack and I don't see the widget for it. Or the one for Twitter & such. It's a fresh install of 2.0 (not an upgrade).
Jenny
MemberI used XXAMP on my laptop a few years ago and my lappy crashed soon after. Dunno if it was due to that or not but I won't touch it now. I just make a test blog on my server and throw up the maint. plugin xD
Jenny
MemberWhat if I just wanna remove the TIME from the comment date? How would I go about doing that. I'm using 2.0 btw~
Jenny
MemberYay thank you for this. I finally got my related posts widget fixed *hugs*
Jenny
MemberBTW… your featurette on those bloggers, for better kudos and for SEO, you could make those images background images and put some classes in to format over the image. Just a thought.
sounds nifty, must look into how to do that 🙂
Jenny
MemberHonestly I'm no expert and I pretty much just fiddle with things till they blow up or... don't. Yes I followed the instructions and yes I customized it. But I think my theme might be wonky to begin with and I really don't know how or where. It's okay, I don't really need it. 🙂 It was just a nifty trick. Thanks for helping though.
Jenny
Memberyus, but that only puts it above the post. and even then the CSS isn't working.
