It turned out to be a security php file WPEngine puts in wp-content folder.

It was an idea!  I looked at a lot of plugins, premium and paid but we went PopPop since they decided mobile consideration is less priority but it works on my Droid; have to test it on iPad and iPhone.  It's a free plugin.  Client will have to know some HTML, but that's the way it is!
