I had exactly the same issue. I basically fixed it by removing the mobile menu, which works fine for me: I only have a few links and I believe it's a better user experience anyway (less things to click)
Fabio NodariParticipantFabio NodariParticipantFabio NodariParticipantFabio NodariParticipantFabio NodariParticipantI see that a bunch of websites mention
"Lines 185 & 186 in the Essence Pro"
But my function.php file has nothing about a logo size on my function file.
Fabio NodariParticipantWill do! Thanks! Still have to figure out how Slack works though...
Gonna close the topic now.
Thanks again Anita
Fabio NodariParticipantHi Anita I think I figured it out. The code did work but Essence Pro adds the date inside the . entry-meta below the title in every post.
Now for some reason the css for .entry-meta was set to display:none so I couldn't see that the date did show up below the title and was then hidden. So I removed the get data short code from the function.
Adding the code I posted is not enough to remove the date then. It's important to also remove the get data from the function.php
Fabio NodariParticipantFabio NodariParticipantYes it's a well established website. Every time I activate the theme it prompts me to install the demo content. If I do the new homepage works pretty much as expected. If I use any other existing page it doesn't work. If I remove the theme and activate it again and try to use the previously created page I have the same issue so I have to install another demo page.
Fabio NodariParticipantYes it's quite confusing and I consider myself an advanced user. I really need to talk with the customer service because there is something wrong with the way the widgets work. If I use an existing page as homepage the layout is messed up. If I use a new created page it's ok. 🤷
Not sure if you are familiar with this particular child theme but for example with an existing page the empty space between the two featured posts at the top of the page is not actually empty but it overlaps (this is ok) and covers (not ok) part of the header. Hard to explain I know but the point is that I noticed a tons of these issues. Never happened with Magazine Pro.
Fabio NodariParticipantThanks Anita. I don't have for example the whole Hero widget section, which is the widget that adds the email opt-in in the header. I did manage to create a similar layout using the blocks but it's not exactly what I want. Even the documentation doesn't match the layout I have. BTW I tried to contact the support. Hope they can help
Fabio NodariParticipantJust realized that I could achieve the same result exclusively using css. 🙂 Thanks anyway
Fabio NodariParticipantFabio NodariParticipantSorry but I am quite a noob. How can I actually add the text field to the widget?
Fabio NodariParticipantOk thanks a lot for your explanation Anita. Hopefully in future releases the lazy load function will be implemented in all the images. 🙂
