Everything is easy, when you know exactly what to do 😀
I was thinking about using the rev slider for this. I wonder why Studiopress refuse to renew themselves just a bit, keeping up with modern design trends, such as wide layouts and custom templates. I love my genesis framework, and I love this forum, but I sometimes catch myself in browsing Themeforest for projects, simply because all Genesis child themes are build more or less the same way. The only thing that differs in them, is the static front pages.
Sorry for the tears, hope they didn't come out of your screen making your keyboard wet ^^

But I better find someone who can perform this task for me, I've had many issues with my site so far 🙂
Thank youJuly 12, 2016 at 10:32 am in reply to: Export/get front page from one child theme, and use on another #189295Mr_VercettiMemberHi Brad,
Thank you for getting back here 🙂
Basically, I I want to use the same type of layout as the Magazine Pro, however, I would like the featured posts slider (widget area) to be full width.
Thank youMr_VercettiMemberSusan, you are the hero of the day:-)
Thank you so very much, bless you!
Have a great weekend!
Best,
Mr_VercettiMemberHi Carlo,
Thank you very much for your input, very nice of you.
It doesn't work:-( What I want is the background image and the widget area.
Mr_VercettiMemberHi Brad.
Thx for getting back to me. Actually have been stopping by your , but everytime I'm trying something, something else goes wrong:-)
Here my site: http://www.mallorcaoplevelser.dk
What I want is a widget located in the right side of the background image to either display an opt in form or a search widget. The widget needs to be styled in some light color, say cyan or something that blends with the rest of the design.
The closest I came was this tutorial: but it throws the widget in the upper left corner AND it pushes/stretches the background even further down, making the whole front page look weird.
Studiopress support can't help with this.
Best regards
Mr_VercettiMemberI'm just really eager to get a nice grid layout into my categories. If any of you have a better solution, please say so.
Best regards
Jesper
